he was the best camera man out of all us during the preliminary task.

is the most creative and knows how to get his
point across in a good way

~Locations of Filming~

Housing estate

(we chose this to do the night murder scene)
We chose to film in the estate because it adds enigma to the
opening scene and looks good to film in, we chose this certain
location because it is in the estate but is open enough to film in.

THE PRODUCER
The producer over sees the film production and filming, and delivers the film to the relevant parties and relevant target audience. The producer will also finance the film in its idea state until it is a fully working idea after it has taken off it will become fully financed.

“The producer is often actively involved throughout all major phases of the filmmaking process, from inception and development to completion and delivery of a film project” From- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Film_producer

The Director
"The Director: A film director is a person who directs the actors and film crew in film making. They control a film's artistic and dramatic aspects whilst guiding the technical crew and actors." the director will control the film production and will control what the people do on scene.

Camera Operator
this is the person who will carry out the filming of the production, there is always more than one camera on scene, this is done so that the production can be filmed at many angles, which makes it easier to edit at the end.

~ market research ~

-Sherlock Holmes-
Sherlock Holmes is a very good detective film. This film is good because there is a lot of enigma raised throughout the production and therefore makes the audience more involved with the situation. i think that the enigma raised allows the viewer to become part of the production as in they are trying to solve the film as well as the detectives. This film is good but unlike ours is set in

-James Bond Casino Royale-
All of the James Bond films are detectives but in a different form to ours, our production is going to be a very sedate film in which there isn't a lot of action and shooting scenes, instead it is going to be very slow paced and ideal for the 35+ target audience. I think that Casino royale is a very good film because they are quite easy to understand, this is because most information is presented in a an easy way in which it can be read by most people.

~ Interviewing the target audience ~

Example of questionaire

15+
We asked one 15+ aged person about what they think of our film idea, they said that they would like to see more action in it and they would like to see more happen, overall they thought that it was a good idea.

35+
The 35+ aged person thought that this film would be a really good idea and thought that it doesnt really need much changing, this correspondes with what the BBFC said about the target audience being 35+.

~ Marketing ~

When marketing you need to take into account the target audience, for us this is teens aged 15+ both male and female and women aged 35+.

Our group decided that it would be best to advertise during program's such as 'Lewis' (which is a detective drama on TV), 'Coronation Street', and before films at the cinema such as 'Sherlock Holmes' which is coming out in the near future.
