Our Pitch

~Pitch 1 Spoof horror:~

Idea

two people are being held in warehouse, they are both handcuffed together with there other arms being tied to the chair, there are being threatened by a slasher character who says "you cant escape from here" after this scene one of the hostages find a pair of scissors that have been stupidly left on a shelf near to them, that hostage then cuts him self free and then cuts the other one free and they run off, the slasher then starts to chase them, the two hostages are two concerned in trying not to get captured they run into a lamppost and they twist around the lamppost and hit into each thus knocking them out, the slash quickly captures them. 

The pitch

we first started of with James's pitch, the spoof horror, this pitch went very well and was quite a favourite, James was asked for where the film is going to take place, quite a lot of people said that there is quite a lot to fit into 2 minutes. He where then asked "where do they get the scissors from" the answer is because it is a spoof horror they will be sat on a shelf, this adds to the persona of the spoof part of the film, 

How we could make it better

We could try and make the opening fit into two minutes this can be done by speeding up the scene or making that certain scene a little bit shorter. We should also take into account putting credits and company logos into the title.

~Pitch 2 Detective~

Idea

Two detectives are sent to investigate the murder of a local in the town, the first scene starts off with a victim stumbling around clutching their throat after being stabbed, the victim then falls to the floor dead, after this scene the camera pans onto the masked murderer running away, the camera will capture something being thrown onto the floor but not in focus enough so that the viewer can see what it is, this therefore creates enigma as to what it is. After this there will be a cut into another scene which is now set into day time, now the camera will show two detectives walking towards the body and staring to study it, the body will be on the floor the hands still around the throat,  

The Pitch

our pitch went quite well and we answered to most off the information that needed to be answered, we where asked a couple of things such as "where is it going to be set" we have now settled on it being set in the rich suburb of a city, this is done to try and create enigma examples off- why is it happening here, why has that person being killed etc. we said that there wouldn't be a continuity error  because it set at night, but we now know that there will be for the body.

What we could make better

we could try and make a more interesting cast list for the film, this would help to make the film more realistic or more drastic because of how the characters are played. Another this to change could be the location because we don't want it to be in the middle of a city instead we are going to have it on the edge of the city in the rich suburbs. 

Pitch 3 Ganster


Idea
an angry business man go to the don and asks a guy to be beaten us because he doesnt give him money he is owed, the Don then gets his main heavy onto the case but instead the Heavy accidentally kills the guy who was meant to be beat, the business man then decides that he isn't going to pay up the Don then gives him 72 hours to pay up or else he will be killed.


Pitch
I think that this pitch is done very well and tells you a lot about the film we are planning on doing, henry said what the film is going to be about and what is going to happen throughout the film, I think that we are going to find it hard to fit all the above into the first two minutes of the film, therefore our group has objected against doing this film because it is going to be hard to produce.


What we could improve
Henry was asked where the film was going to be set and didn't really have an answer to respond with, so we are going to think about where the film is going to be set, we know that there will be a smart office with low key lighting to help add to the characteristic's of the fearful gangsters, but we still have decided on the location for the film, such as is it going to be in London or sunny old new York




Overall Opinion of out Pitch's
I think that the pitches went very well and we met most of what was needed to present it to the class, i think that all the ideas are very good and are all able to be a working production thus I also think that some of the ideas are a lot easier to film and produce than other, I think that the gangster film is going to be quite hard to do because we will have to get the right actions and persona of the gangsters to make the film look any where decent, I do think though with a little bit of practise we will be able to pull the film off. I think that the spoof horror is going to be the hardest film to do because we have to present it as a horror which is going to be quite hard to do, and we also have to make it funny in such a way that the audience will want to watch it, I also think that this would be very hard to film because there is a rather long running scene in it which will be hard to film because off the complexity of the filming regime. Our final idea was the detective pitch which I  think most of the group is taken to because it is going to be quite easy to film, unlike all off the other films this isn't going to be to fast paced, and doesn't make us need to put on a certain persona which will be hard to do, because the detective film is going to be English there is no need for us to put on any certain accents to make the film any part better. I think that on a whole all the pitches went very well and all of our group is happy of what was achieved from it, we also good very good feedback which will helps us with our filming and ideas for the later production.
