~Evaluation | How does your media product represent particular social groups?

Outlined role of this analysis:
Here i will talk about the people That appear in our production, this analysis will be split into 5 main areas of interest these are: Age, Ethnicity, Sexuality, Gender and physical ability.

Age:
In our production we tried to make the ages of our characters as realistic as possible, we made sure that the detectives are off a suitable age to there role, we decided that the two detective Dan Cash and David Stone will be aged between 25 to 35, we chose for the victim Jimmy Marley to be in his early 40's this is to tie in with his job as a Bank manager. The Murderer ( Dan Cash ) is aged in his mid to late 30's, we made sure that the ages of all of the characters fitted in with there jobs e.g. you wouldn't have an 18 year old bank manager you would expect the bank manager to be in the ages of 40-50.

Ethnicity:
Ethnicity plays a vital role in making the production as realistic as possible, For example the two detectives may be atheists or Christians as portrayed in most other detective dramas. We chose that the victim jimmy Marley the Bank manager may be deeply religious because stereotypically bank managers usually come from a rich and highly religious family. Murderer may also be atheist because he is used to killing and therefore doesn't need religion to get in the way. We set the detectives to be thorough-bred Englishmen as to correspond to the true factor of a true cockney cop, we wanted the bank manager to be a middle to higher class Englishman to fit as his role as the bank manager. The murder is Dan Cash so will again be from inner London, the mafia accomplice is English with an Italian background which links him with his mafia roots.

- Murderer in first scene, dark clothed and masked to not give away identity

- C- smart clothing everyday for murderer
- L- low key lighting
- A- Mostly normal looking, murderer may stand out a bit.
- M- Blood on chest and maybe mud on face of victim.
- P- Items ophilliated with a murder E.G. A knife or a gun.
- S- often set in normal locations or in built up areas.
